The Archdiocese of Vitória, in the state of Espírito Santo, launched last week, Missionary Week hot site. Archbishop Dom Luiz Vilela Mancilha and auxiliary bishops Dom Joaquim Wladimir Lopes Dias and Don Rubens Seville attended the event.
With the name “Semana Missionária é Vitória” (Missionary Week is Victory, free translation), the site www.semanamissionariavitoria.org.br allows pilgrims to know Archdioceses and city’s history. Moreover, it covers the latest news about WYD Rio 2013, about Bote Fé and information on how to volunteer at the Missionary Week.
Dom Rubens Sevilla, referential Youth bishop of Vitória’s Archdiocese, reiforced the commitment that young people have had to prepare WYD Rio2013. "The capixaba (name given to those who are born in Vitoria) are a welcoming people and I have no doubt that they will treat pilgrims very well," he said.
Prepared from the model proposed by the WYD’s Local Organising Committee (COL), Missionary Week’s site is patterned with symbols of Espírito Santo State, as Pedra Azul, Terceira Ponte, Convento da Penha and Cruz do Papa.
Initially it is built in Portuguese language, but will have versions in English, Spanish and German.
