To be a volunteer of the WYD you must fill in your registration form on the official website www.rio2013.com. Registrations will be probably available in December. Everyone must register on the website, even those who are already serving as a volunteer and those who have sent us any registration form.

All those who-led by the grace of God and free of charge - are willing to serve to carry on the WYD in its various phases.

3
What is the minimum age to volunteer?
To apply for volunteering, you must be 18 years during the JMJ (July 23rd to July 28th, 2013). In the second half of 2012 ( July – December), teenagers that are 16 or 17 years old, from the Archdiocese of Rio will be able to apply for the volunteering, once they have parental consent. The non-admission of teenagers under 16 years old is as a procedure due to legal processes. We are analyzing the possibility of having teenagers of 16 and 17 from other dioceses of Brazil, also with the proper authorizations.

The priority of the volunteer in World Youth Day is to be in service, so during the Central Acts, the volunteer can be asked or not to work next to the stage. We will use the blog and the private Facebook of the volunteers as our means of internal communication. You will find there all the information always updated and you will be called for events and services in general (mainly for Brazilians). Besides that, from April 2012 on, the volunteers will receive by e-mail the "Volunteer Magazine" ("Revista do Voluntário) monthly.
